| Task: Paint a rainforest scene on a 6th grader's wall. Make it so each time it is viewed something new is noticed. Solution: Use Ranger Rick and National Geographic magazines to research and for visual reference materials. This picture (which is actually 3 photographs combined- and part of the middle bottom is missing) doesn't show all the detail, but each animal and insect painted has its name printed below it very small. Leaf ants march along the door frame and other animals hide in the undergrowth. Result: The boy and his mom were thrilled and when they discovered (two weeks later) the animal names, they called just to say how cool it was. |
